Spice up your Fall decor!

FALL IS HERE! My most favorite season of crispy leaves, warm blankets, cozy sweatshirts, and all things pumpkin spiced! I may be biased because my birthday is in the fall, but its the best time of year! To kick off the fall season in the best way possible, I purchased some new pieces from Mahogany Street to add something extra to my favorite part of my house!

This modern planter was the first thing I added to my cart from their site. It’s called the Creative Design Wooden Plant Vase. I thought it was rustic, but modern at the same time and different then anything I’ve seen before. I got the smallest size that it comes in, I believe you could get taller and wider ones, but I knew the small size would look perfect on my side table. I don’t think I’ll add any plants to it just because it’s so small. I love the way it looks, but need to be honest, the wooden pieces had to be put together and the holes in the wood weren’t punctured all the way through so it was a little difficult putting this together! It also came wrapped in Styrofoam (which I didn’t think anyone used anymore) and it made a huge mess when I took it out of the box. You’ve been warned!

The next thing I picked was this moon lamp which looked so cool on their site, and it was different than anything I already have. I thought it would be nice to put on when the lights are dimmed, or while watching TV at night. It’s called the Glowing Moonlight 3D Print Lamp on their website. Aesthetically, it looks nice on my side table, but I have less nice things to say about this piece than the planter. The lamp came in a box that looked pretty damaged which could be where my issues are derived from. The wooden base had to be put together, which after studying the picture on their website, was easy to figure out. But it comes with no directions! The actual white globe needs to be charged and then it could be turned on and off with the remote pictured above. The only instructions that came with this said while charging if the globe is red that means its still charging and when it’s blue that means it’s fully charged. The globe charged for almost 6 hours and never turned blue, I took it off the charger and tried to turn it on and it didn’t work. I then charged it overnight and when I woke up, it was still blinking red! It doesn’t work at all, I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it’s just a damaged product, but I’m a little unhappy with this piece and wouldn’t recommend!
Overall, I loved the other pieces on their site, and may go back to shop some more pieces! Their prints caught my eye and thought would make a perfect addition to a hallway, bathroom, or dining room. However, just want to keep it real - the company only sends a confirmation email, there are no shipping details, tracking information, nothing! These two pieces shipped separately, I ordered them on August 19th and it took about a week to get the moon lamp and another three weeks to receive the planter. I reached out to their customer service a few times and they were helpful each time and assured me that their products come from different suppliers and that's why they ship at different times. So just be aware before ordering, especially if you plan on gifting anything!
Mahogany St was nice enough to give me a discount code for all my followers to use to get 15% off your total order. This is amazing because all their products are already reasonably priced when compared to Pier One and West Elm prices. So the discount code gives you even MORE savings! Use code BYCASSANDRA15 at checkout for your 15% off! Let me know what you guys get! Happy shopping!
p.s. - I know I’ll get questions about some of the other products in the picture, so wanted to share the details since these all aren't from the same retailer.
Candle is from Kirklands in the scent Vanilla Birch. I got this candle within the last week, so this scent should still be available online and in stores!
The white plate was a gift, but on the bottom is the name D'Lusso Home Collection if that helps!
The tapestry in the background is a popular one that I've seen a lot on social media over the past few years. I got mine about six years ago from Urban Outfitters online in their home section. But I'm sure it could be found elsewhere since it seems to be pretty popular.
The grey chunky knit blanket was a gift that I received from West Elm last Christmas. I can't wait to see what they come out with for this upcoming holiday season!
