Container Store Haul

You asked, we answered! The Container Store is our favorite and the first place we go when we start a new project. They never fail to have just the right thing to help bring your organization to another level. Here are our top five products that we've most recently purchased from The Container Store that we have used both personally and for client projects.
Our Shoe Box - The Our Shoe Box is a clear shoe box is an innovative and functional option to help store your favorite kicks! We used these in a recent project for a client who thought their shoe closet was very organized since she kept all original boxes for all the shoes in her collection. However, not all shoe boxes are created equal.... Since they are all different shapes and sizes, it's difficult to optimize the space that you have. We utilized the Our Shoe box for sneakers, sandals, wedges and some heels. Since they are all the same size, these stack nicely and allow more shoes to be stored on a single shelf. The transparency helps since you can see right through and won't need to go digging through boxes to find the pair you're looking for! Iris 3-Drawer Storage Chest with Wheels - The 3-Drawer Storage Chest is such a functional piece to add to any space for simple organization. I personally have these in my closet, however, I removed the wheels so it could sit on top of one of my Elfa shelves. I use the shelves to store t-shirts, tank tops, and pajamas. Since I don't have any other drawers in my closet, I feel these items are best suited for a drawer instead of being free-folded on top of a shelf or in a basket. We have also utilized this 3-Drawer Storage Chest in playrooms - where we've labeled each drawer a different category (i.e., Legos, Barbies, Markers/Crayons). These drawers would also work great in a laundry room, bathroom, or even a kitchen pantry! At $12.99 each, you really can't go wrong.
ProKeeper Baker's Storage Set of 6 - We love the whole ProKeepers collection. We used these in a recent Spice Cabinet project, however, we purchased certain individual containers for what we needed, since the client's needs didn't require the entire set. We love the seal-tight lid and the shape of these containers since they form to a standard rectangular cabinet so well. We also loved that the larger containers came with a scoop that measures to a 1/2 cup, and also came with a leveler, to help with ingredients like flour and sugar. For our project, we used the 4 Qt, 2.5 Qt, and 1.5 Qt Containers. The 4 Qt Container was used for flour as pictured below. We used two 2.5 Qt Containers to store oatmeal, and the 1.5 Qt container to store cocoa powder. Although not included in the set, we are obsessed with the spaghetti ProKeeper container that you can find on The Container Store's website! The set is a little pricey and goes for $59.99 - however, you get six containers that will really spice up your pantry! For our particular project, we spent about $60 for the four containers we used - so the set is definitely a bang for your buck!
Basic Stackable Basket - We have not used these stackable baskets in one of our projects yet, and I have not used these personally - however I cannot wait to incorporate these into a project soon! I think they're a perfect addition to a pantry closet for bags of chips, cereal, or a quick to-go snack basket. These would also work well in a play area to store larger items like blocks or action figures/barbie dolls. I love the grey color - but you could easily add a pop of color to your space by using the blush or mint colors. These could work really well in a closet or laundry area to store small towels, socks, gloves/mittens and other small items that you can't necessarily fold. For only $4.99 each - we love these baskets as an organizational option.
Elfa Closets - Although I can't advise a price point for these Elfa closets since they are fully personalized/customized, I can't explain how much I love these closet systems. In my experience I've installed two Elfa closets, and the assembly is just as easy as the personalization part. The Container Store does a fantastic job with letting you learn all your options for a space. I can't recommend their Elfa systems enough.
